You may not believe it, but Wilmslow's recently elected mayor, Barry Burkhill, has just emailed! He says:
"Congratulations from the people of Wilmslow on your 5 month anniversary. You have certainly helped put Wilmslow on the map. Before Kia Ora Coro, Wilmslow was filled with footballers wives and Corrie St stars, but they all left for Los Angeles after a flood of New Zea
land blog-readers flocked to our pretty city. Kia Ora.
More sincerely than usual,
Barry Burkhill"
Aww, I'm sure we all have many fond memories of our Wilmslow week. Thanks Barry!

Mr T has emailed the following through to us:
"Kia ora to Kia Ora Coro and all its readers for toughing it out to the five month mark. I read this blog regularly even though I have not had the pleasure to view the glory that is Coronation Street.
I hope we all enjoy today's party and I for one am looking in great anticpation towards the next party on September 25. I shall be there with chains on (ha ha).
Keep off the drugs, kids.
Mr. T
P.S. I pity the fool that doesn't post a comment to this blog"
Well, kia ora to you Mr T, for being such a devoted fan!

I'm suprised Charlie earns any money given that he spends his whole working day romping about with his women!
And if you're in the mood for a grim, slightly Coro-related story, click here.

Firstly, don’t forget to watch
on the couch getting fat on biscuits with Gail and Audrey fussing over her (and who gets neglected once again? Poor old David.)

Remember pet week? Well, Dierdre's discovered a website where you can create a webpage for your cat or dog and then they can take part in an online animal community!!! (By "they" I really mean "you". Unless your cat can read.)
C is for Chesney. But unfortunately I have a big assignment due on Friday so haven't had time to do much Chesney-related research. I think his photo sa
ys it all, though.
Whose your favourite "C" character?

I'm putting together a list of quirky bodily features of Coro Street's characters (for example, Dierdre's neck...). I'll post it up on Tuesday, but if you have any suggestions, email them to me or post a comment!
I think perhaps I got your expectations up too high, dear readers, when I mentioned the lady on the t
rain who sat there with a jacket on her head the whole way.
It turned out, after we'd been sitting there talking about her and taking photos of her, that she was a TOUR GUIDE who was having some time-out from her tour group and had no-doubt seen the sights (and heard the commentary) a hundred times before!
So, yeah, I hope that was worth the wait.
Sorry.
The good news, though, is that on August 25 Kia Ora Coro will have been going for SIX months. Dierdre and I have been discussing blog-party plans, so keep an eye out for more details over the next week or so. Naturally there'll be some special guests but I'd also like you all to contribute with virtual decorations, virtual gifts or your own virtual guests!
