That lady on the train
I think perhaps I got your expectations up too high, dear readers, when I mentioned the lady on the t
rain who sat there with a jacket on her head the whole way.
It turned out, after we'd been sitting there talking about her and taking photos of her, that she was a TOUR GUIDE who was having some time-out from her tour group and had no-doubt seen the sights (and heard the commentary) a hundred times before!
So, yeah, I hope that was worth the wait.
Sorry.
The good news, though, is that on August 25 Kia Ora Coro will have been going for SIX months. Dierdre and I have been discussing blog-party plans, so keep an eye out for more details over the next week or so. Naturally there'll be some special guests but I'd also like you all to contribute with virtual decorations, virtual gifts or your own virtual guests!

I was right! "Maybe that person had done the trip before so didn't need to admire the view?" is what I said. Although I didn't wonder WHY she was doing the trip again, so maybe I don't geta choc fish.
*sigh* It was hardly a creative answer, though, was it Dierdre? You might be entitled to the tail end of a chocolate fish but I think to get a whole one you really needed to mention the tour guide part...
Alright then, if you're going to be SO precise then how come you have a picture of Thomas? Hmm? Did you travel on Thomas up the Taieri gorge?
Well excuse me but I put a photo of the proper train on the original post. I put Thomas (and Percy) up purely for your veiwing pleasure.
Perhaps we could have a virtual cake and virtual champagne to celebrate the blog. Some of us could even do it for real - morning tea anyone?
they must have been really awful tourists to have to hide under a jacket though. Unfortunately will be in Sydney (well actually I'm pleased I am going there)so will miss the blog anniversary. I'm sure I can come up with some beaded decorations though
Hold on a second, if the blog started on March 25, then on August 25 it will only be FIVE months old. *sigh* Shall we have a party anyway or hold out til September? I'll put up a poll...
Aw! Surely a 5 month milestone should be marked in some way. After all August can be a bit dull - especially for those NOT going to Sydney.
Maybe we could just have a small celebration on august 25 with the week-long party postponed until the week of september 25?
It could be a pre-party party.
PS Always keen for a morning tea, Lynne.
Any excuse for a party really
Well, it's Juliet's birthday party on the 25th, so neugeblogger I promise that Jewels and I will toast the 5 month anniversary for you from Sydney too.
PS - why did the tour guide take up a window seat on the train when she could have left the window seat to people who actually did want to look at the view ?
