Ashes to ashes .... and more ashes!

Lorks! Poor old Fred and his ashes have been divied up - some for Bev and some for Ashley- what could be fairer?. What happened was Blanche told Bev that there was real pain and emotion over at the butcher shop (she saw Ashley crying) and that Bev wasn't the only one who was suffering and "putting on a twice daily performance". So Bev puts half the ashes into an instant gravy jar, stating "I know he couldn't abide instant gravy, but it was all I had". Oh, how I laughed. And also, when she said "Well I suppose there's a lot of him to share around" True enough Bev.

Also on the street last night .... David Platt discovers (by reading their mail) that Maria and Charlie are carrying on. Will Tracy find out? . . . . let's hope not - she's got a real temper when riled!
We saw more of Rita scaring poor Norris about the Hungary trip, in particular the possibility of nude bathing!
And we saw silly Sally hiding a letter from Craig that was meant for Rosie . . . but gives it to her in the end.
Oh, and more scenes with an unhappy looking Frankie with happy Danny while poor Jamie looks longingly at his step-mum.
All in all, a great episode.
Yours doggedly,
Schmeichel's Aunty
