So much news!!

Not only is tonight Fred's big night...but big news has just hit Coro land! Liz Dawn, who plays Vera Duckworth, will be leaving the show in early 2008 (UK time)!! Liz has emphysema in real life and only has 1/4 of her lungs still working (the poor woman).

Liz's departure also means Vera's (permanent) departure. She's been a Coro character for 33 years so she'll be sorely missed! The Coro writers are keeping mum about how Vera dies and have even written three possible endings. You can read more at the BBC's website. Sad times, viewers, sad times.
