Ponchos

Oh no - did you hear the poncho comment that Sean made to Shelly last night?? I just bought a poncho! I'm doomed to forever be no-mates-neugeblogger. I am Shelly. *groan*

And didn't I tell you Sean's dad would be living in the burbs with a potbelly and a woman on his arm?

And so many great lines last night, but my favourite (ooh, apart from "he's been away with the mixers since 5 o'clock" ) was:

Sean's (long lost) dad: "Has something happened?"
Sean: "What? Since 1986?"

Hmm, maybe you had to be there.

Anyway, must get back to my itching.

P.S. You see the poncho in the top right-hand corner? You'll be glad to know there's a knitting pattern available for it and, as you'll already have noticed, it 'is a poncho you will be proud to knit and wear'. But wait, there's more...you 'can eliminate the neck opening and it becomes an elegant throw!' Mmmhmm. Nothing makes me prouder than wearing a sack that can double as a throw.

P.P.S. Just look how happy that lady is. Do let me know if you want the address for the pattern.

Love the poncho pics! That one at the bottom is surely an oversized tea-cosy, no doubt knitted by some mad old bat who watches Coro ... oh wait, that's me. Anyway, last night was a good episode with lots of interesting story-lines and quotes. I loved the bit when Liz was trying to interest Fred in having Vernon's band play at the wedding. Poor Steve looks like he is going to be locked up again if evidence points to his being the hit and run car. With he and Kelly both being wrongly 'framed' perhaps they will find more solace in each others arms? Glad to hear you're not so itchy today Ange - perhaps you're allergic to your new red poncho?

Thankfully my itching started before I got my poncho.

Good thinking re Kelly and Steve - did you see the look she gave him last night? I thought it was just a one-night-thing, but maybe not...such scandal!

..... perhaps you'd better send me a photo of the poncho?

Honestly mum, mine's not like any of the ones in the photos. It's red and made of merino and doesn't look like a sack (or so I've been told). I got a lot of second opinions before I took the tag off.

You could use your cats as models again - this time wearing a poncho. There must be a market for cats on knitting pattern covers. My ideal poncho would have a 3D scale model of the Rover's Return appliqued on the front.

Beaded ponchos anyone?

Yes a beaded replica of the Rover's on a poncho would be classy - but alas, I probably couldn't afford such a bespoke beauty!

I think my brain just exploded.
